Question for Alumnae Chapter members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Hello, I am interested in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., I wanted to try on the undergraduate level, but they were suspended so now I am trying through an alumnae chapter. I wanted to know if I met all the requirements needed (GPA,Community service, etc), attended all the events, get invited to RUSH by a member, as well as get a letter of recommendation from a chapter member does that make my chances greater to be chosen for membership.

That answer cannot be given on this site. Support the local chapter's events and if you show up enough, they will notice your interest. You can meet all of the qualifications and still not make it into the organization for a number of reasons...or get in. Discretion is key and most of the information you want to know is on a "need to know" basis. I have learned what not to do just by observing. Good luck!

No goofball, "discretion" applies to the women who want to pursue membership. They're not supposed to run around the interwebs or real life yelling I WANNA BE A DST.

Can you please just find another website to post on? Declaring that there's a big effing pothole a mile away doesn't make the pothole any less annoying when you hit it or have to drive around it.

Adults shouldn't run around the interwebs or real life yelling anything outside its proper context. If you want to attend a particular school, work for a particular employer, etc, there are ways to go about expressing your interest and handling your business. Don't be the person whose bark is louder than their bite and people ask "so, what ever came of your LOUD desire to accomplish that goal that you never shut up about?"

Sorry for the lane swerve....possibly one of my very favorite posts. Life lesson in a digest form.

The bigger question you should ask, should be of yourself:

"Why do I really want to be a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.?"
"Do I really know everything that I need to know about the organization, before making a lifelong commitment?"
"Am I blinded by the concept of 'need to know', instead of making sure I know for myself?"
"Am I a follower of others, or a leader of myself?"
"What exactly is it I am pledging or promising to do?"
"Have I asked God if this is His plan for me?"

If you don't have the deep, certain answers to one of these questions, take time to order the book "The True Alpha and Omega" written by Jerrod Smith & Clifton Lucas. amazon.com.

Good Luck, be blessed.

It would seem that someone with your wisdom and in depth knowledge of the subject wouldn't bother with such a site as this. Why waste your time? Oh I get it, you are here to save souls.

Au contraire. Enlightenment should always be shared. But the enlightened must be careful to merely provide a lit match before full sun.
