Re: FCC could Consider the Use of Cell Phones on Planes, take the Poll
A. NOPE
B. HAYLE NO!!!
As long as I can listen to my discman, get my 6 pretzels in a bag, and read a book, I am fine. The flight cuts down travel time by an astronomical amount. It's nice to be somewhere and know that the phone will not ring at all.
Now if the plane is going down in a 9/11 type of deal, I'm turning my phone on to call my mother and brother. Otherwise I do not need it. Can you imagine the roaming rates, if they even still charge for that?

a. and b. - ABSOLUTELY NOT
the idea of listening to phone chatter for hours is irritating to me, as i type.
personally, i believe if it's allowed, you will see an alarming rise in cases of "air rage". i don't think the airlines want to see that...

I am not really worried about the chatter because I can tune that out with headphones and sleeping. However, I don't want all those cellular waves interfering with the plane mechanisms or communications with the control tower. There is a reason that cell phones have been banned this long....

Re: FCC could Consider the Use of Cell Phones on Planes, take the Poll
A. Don't own one. If I'm not at home, leave a message on my answering machine, yes my answering machine.
B. No! Can't stand hearing folk conversation now! Of course, I would like to suggest that if someone snores - they should be banned from sleeping on the plane! I was sitting next to this fool on the plane last night who was snoring something awful. I kept clearing my throat to wake him up (yes, I did) but he kept going back to sleep! LOL
It was madness. Once, somebody's head fell over on my shoulder and they were actually sleeping on me! I stopped all that right away. Some of these folk on the planes....
