A Show Me State Recruitment

Hello! My name is Anna.
I went through recruitment sometimes within the past few years (I don't want to specify when) and I decided to tell my recruitment story here. I've been lurking on this site for a while, and it really helped me prepare for recruitment at my school, which if pretty competitive.
So first I will start with some background info about me.
I went to a public school in Missouri that was fairly large. I graduated in the top of my class and was involved in student government and NHS. I also played volleyball. I only secured recruitments for 4 of the sororities at my school but wasn't particularly worried about it (not the best mindset to have, but it worked out for me).
There were 13 sororities at my school. The code names I'm using are Missouri symbols or features. They are:
Bluebird
Cardinals
Mule
Fiddle
Honey bee
Toasted Ravioli
Catfish
Truman
White Hawthorn
Ozarks
Dogwood
The Arch
Black Walnut

A lot of people from my high school got involved in Greek Life in college, most of whom went to the college I attended. So I had impressions of most of the sororities before getting to school. I decided to go in with an open mind, though. I just wanted to find my greek "home" at school, especially since it was a big school.
More to come a little later.

What? There's toasted ravioli but no gooey butter cake?

I'll have to root for the Cards, of course!

I am proud to say that after living in STL for a year and a half, I now recognize/know what most of those are! I'll have to go with the Cards because I'm a big baseball fan
