Graduation gift?

Sorry for the crash, but I'm hoping one of you gentlemen may be able to help me!

I'm shopping for a graduation gift for a close friend of mine who is a Lambda Chi Alpha. He has adopted me as his "little sister" (in the familial sense, not the Greek big/little sense ) and I would like to do something nice for his graduation. I was thinking of getting him a LXA ring or something along that line but have not found anything I really liked yet. If any of you have any gift ideas/suggestions of where to shop, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

There are TONS of things to get a Chi.

Lapel Pins, Mugs, Chapter Guard, Letter shirt.

It all depends on how much you want to spend.

I go on eBaY alot and have gotten a ton of cool stuff (chi stuff) from there.

http://www.universitygraphix.com/lambdachialpha.html - That site has a hoodie I got for Christmas which is really awesome.

But there are a billion things. Rings, Dog Tags, Coins, Lapel Pins, Cufflinks, Flags...

Pardon the crash, as I'm not a Lambda Chi, nor do I know the person you're shopping for. However, as a graduating senior this semester, I'm definitely not looking for something like a lettered or screen printed shirt or sweatshirt. If you do go for a fraternity related gift I would try to go for something more subtle.

Some of the things on my Delta Chi wish list for graduation gifts are:
  • Life Loyal Membership
  • A windbreaker or fleece zip up with small letters embroidered on the left chest
  • A framed picture of our spiritual founder, Sir Edward Coke
Some other things you might try: cuff links, if he'll wear them, a tie bar, a nice pen (but if you're going to get a nice pen a Mont Blanc is a much better gift than any fraternity pen you can find), golf accesories, if he plays, etc. Less collegiate frat boy, more professional fraternity man.

How about having his initiation certificate matted and framed to go alongside his diploma?

oh man YES.

I had NO idea how many of the guys I went to school with geek out over golf. And it seems to start younger and younger these days.

Thanks for the ideas! I'm definitely looking for something he can use into the future (e.g. NOT another letter shirt!) I was thinking a fraternity ring, but the pen idea is cool, too!
