Where would you like to see ASA?
Stolen from a whole bunch of other boards on here. Where would you like to see chapters of Alpha Sigma Alpha?
And I mean completely new chapters - I think if we all had our way all our closed chapters would reopen.

I agree about all our old chapters reopening. I would like to see us more in Louisiana. If all chapters would reopen there would only be like one other one in Louisiana and I would love to be able to go just about anywhere in the state and meet and hang out with other chapters. Other than that maybe the north west like oregon or somewhere. Anywhere where we aren't really heard of much if at all.

I would LOVE to see ASA as a more established sorority in the south! Unfortunately, it may be difficult to colonize at southern colleges and universities that are attracted to more traditionally southern sororities. I'd still love to have strong chapters in the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Louisianna!

I'm sorry to crash/hijack here, esp in this tread.
But I think of you guys as a "sounthern" sorority, because of where you were founded. Perhaps its because of the AES and how that all worked out.
But I would really like to see once again, ASA and SSS be known as southern, along with KD and ZTA.
I mean, traditionally in my mind the "southern" sororities are:
ASA
SSS
KD
ZTA
CW
ADP
FM and
DG

Many of our first chapters were in the Deep South, including Brenau, Shorter, Randolph Macon and Mary Baldwin.
Due to instability within the org and an anti-Greek sentiment in the south, all of our first 13 chapters (except Alpha) closed or were surrendered to other sororities. We then reorganized with 3 local groups at Truman State in Missouri, Miami U in Ohio, and Indiana U of PA.
So the reorganization kind of shifted our focus out of the deep South and more to the Midwest.

Bump!!!
I would love to see ASA in the west coast, especially California. Also, it saddens me that all the alumna chapters in southern California are no longer active.

We now also have alumnae associations that can be primarily social without the business aspect of traditional alumnae chapters. That might be a good place to start so no one feels as if they are biting off more than they can chew.

I'd love to see ASA in the northwest outside of Alaska and Idaho! I know we are colonizing U of Arizona, so hopefully this will be a step into the Pac12.
