Exclamation Help........please

I am one of 3 guys trying to get a chapter going at the University of Kansas. We are trying to plan some social, brotherhood, recruiting, and alumni events. We have been having some trouble brainstorming. If anyone has any programs which have worked particularly well for their chapter, please email me at cdawg@ku.edu. Any other helpful ideas for the fraternity would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

What type of events are you looking to have? Cookout, sporting events, casual dinner...things of that sort? Let me know and I'll throw some ideas your way!

Be creative!

Hey,

I think your question is a very valid one. My best advice is make sure the activity serves the purpose you are intending it to do, as well as be creative!

If you're talking recruitment, then I guess I have a couple of suggestions. Grand scale activities will draw numbers, but it's often hard to really get to know guys at the events. My recommendation is hold a few large scale events (bbqs, formal dinners, maybe even a ZBTahiti), but balance it with smaller, more intimate gatherings (dinners to restaurants, sporting events, etc.) For future ideas, I would recommend scheduling around campus events, like homecoming, or big basketball games (especially at Kansas).

These are just a few ideas. If you need any more ideas, feel free to give me a shout. I'm working for ZBT next year as a chapter and Expansion consultant, so perhaps I will have the opportunity to work with you guys soon.

Good luck with everything. If you need anything, let me know.
