Since some of you are so passionate about politics...
I have a question.
Do you only date inside your political party? Or, is this a non-issue?

Short answer, yes.
I'm not down with the whole James Carville and Mary Matalin type relationship.

No. Democrat women are easier to get in the sack.

Hey, I live in New York City. I can't limit myself to Republican women (Republicans make up 14% of registered voters.) Besides liberal attitudes towards sexuality are not consonant with cultural conservatives.

I've also worked professionally in politics. Trust me, Democrat women are much more "fun."

NON issue
Its a non-issue for me....most men I date are Democrat...but we usually don't discuss politics too much....especially since they can't go toe-to-toe with me in a political discussion..
Although I don't label myself a Republican..they all do

Non-issue. My ex was really right-wing (i'm left-central) and it didn't affect us. We'd argue now and then... but it was all in good humour.

I know it shouldn't matter, but I'm always disappointed when I hear that an otherwise perfect guy is a "damned old Republican," as my papaw would've said.

Always dated Republicans/conservatives, and married one. I just can't imagine sharing my life with someone whose worldview is so radically different from my own...
...not to mention what my parents would say if I brought home a Dem!!

Ehh...I prefer to date Democrats. Currently I'm stuck w/my Republican boyfriend....
Political issues are a bad bad thing with us...quite possibly the only thing that will ruffle both our feathers..

Non issue I have dated girls from both parties. As long as you can disagree and shrug it off as just personal beliefs then there should be no problem.

Some of my political beliefs, such as the right to choose, are so central to my being that I could not envision myself having a partner who did not share those. Mr Munch is possibly (can you believe?) even farther to the left of I. I lean more to the Socialist/Green way of thinking, while he is closer to Libertarian/maybe Anarchist.

I wouldn't care unless she had a chip on her shoulder about it.
