How dumb is this?

My younger brother is 21-years-old. His girlfriend is 18-years-old. They have been dating for FOUR years. They are engaged and last Thursday my brother was told that he could not attend her Senior Prom because he was "too old". My brother did not graduate from high school (and the little bastard makes more money than I do) but he has been to every school function with his girlfriend. Prom was Saturday and he had everything rented and paid for...don't you think Thursday was kind of short notice for the school to tell him that he could not attend?

The reason that they say he was not allowed to attend was because at a prior school function a student brought a 21-year-old...that person became intoxicated and went home and committed suicide...

My question to you guys is what do you think would happen if my brothers girlfriend had showed up with her father?

I think there is a little bit of age discrimination going on here. This is kind of the the Greek system stereotypes...one person screws up and others pay for it.

Anyway, my brothers girlfriend was Homecoming Queen, she is the Class Valectorian, and she was nominated for Prom Queen (I'm not sure if she got it yet) but she ended up going to Prom with her twin brother. How bad does that suck?
