AI Question

People on these boards are very helpful in providing information so I was wondering if ya'll could help me again. I have a couple of questions regarding AI . . .

1) What kinds of activities do AI's do?

2) Who do the AI's involve themselves with in the org? Undergrad chapters? Are there special grad chapters for them?

2) Are there groups like this for men who wish to join a fraternity post-grad?

Thanks in advance for your help.

For my organization, AI's join the local Alumnae Chapter and do activites with that chapter. Those activities may involve helping out a collegiate chapter, but not always. Some of the activities my alumnae chapter has done include:

Founders Day
Happy Hours
Brewery/Winery Tour
Holiday Party (collect toys)
Pottery Painting
Race for the Cure participation
One day help to a non-profit that supports foster kids
Pampered Chef, etc fundraising party

This is the only male alumnus initiate story that I have ever known of on GC:
Alum initiation for fraternities?
I am not sure if AggieDoc went through with it to completion, but this is the only "male prospective alum initiate" story that I know of.

AI in AOII

AI's in AOII are just like other alumnae. They might have not been in a sorority while in college or maybe their college did not have Greek life. Anyway, I've met some very active AI in my time as an AOII. They participate in rituals, recruitment preparations, help as advisers, and basically they do everything I try do as an alumna of AOII. I think AI's are awesome! I have seen women who are AOII AI who are more active than their sisters who were initiated as collegiates!

Unhappy

Never heard anything back from aggiedoc since these post oh so long ago!

I check with LXA Hdq. and we do AI, but it has to be presented frrom the Chapter to International who in turn gives it to The Grand high Zeta! ( Board Of Director) to vote on.

We at My Chapter have done AI, but it was because an individual was willing to donate time and effort and show a willingness to be of aid to the Chapter.

While I cannot speak for all Fraternitys, I am sure that they are of about the same feeling!

This is not like joining in the Eagles, Moose, Masons,or Elks ETC.

Well, maybe somewhat so dont get me wrong on this!
