Other Locals
Do you have any other local sororities/fraternities on your campus?
I went to the University of Michigan-Flint.
Fraternities
Kappa Delta Xi (founded in 1988)
Sororites
Theta Phi Beta, (Formerly Theta Phi Alpha) which is now an inactive chapter but I always see the last active members always hanging out together.

We had Gamma Omega Delta Multicultural Fraternity on our campus, but all of their members graduated. We also have another MC Sorority trying to come on our campus but they are not chartered. I don't know if this goes under the local category since we are Up and Coming National Org.

We have Iota Gamma Upsilon, a sorority founded in 1962, and Alpha Tau Gamma, a fraternity for men from the School of Agriculture, founded in 1890-something. ATG has been around so long, they actually own most of the other houses on the row- just bought them up over the years, and rent them back out.

All we have is locals it seems here on the lovely ole campus of University of Rio Grande (...and you pronounce it Rye-O Grand, I know..a college that can't even pronounce it's own name..oye )
Sororitys:
Chi Omega Alpha (formally Chi Omega)
Zeta Theta Chi (local)
Delta Theta (local)
Lambda Omicron Psi (local)
Alpha Mu Beta (local)
Fraternitys:
Tau Kappa Epsilon (International, formally Alpha Delta Epsilon)
Alpha Sigma Phi (National)
Pi Sigma (local)
Alpha Chi Nu (local)
We have a couple honorary GLO's but...they really do not 'advertise' themselves therefore, I have no idea who they are..lol

TKE209Sweethrt: Ok, sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I'm a little curious to why U of Rio Grande has all local sororities and some National fraternities.

At the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater we have Phi Chi Epsilon(fraternity) and Alpha Sigma (Sorority). The university will no longer allow locals.

Chi Omega Alpha at Rio Grande was never a chapter of Chi Omega. In 1986 it became a chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma for a few years, and later reverted back to Chi Omega Alpha.
