M finally lavaliered me!

I just wanted to tell everyone that my boyfriend lavaliered me at his christmas party a few weeks ago! He is a pi kappa phi. They dont pin, so this is what they call their first step toward marriage. (nice to know since we are moving to houston in may.) It was a beautiful ceremony. Every time I tell my family about it everyone starts crying. Here's what happened.....

M told me we had to go to the party at 945, and I couldnt be late (I usually am). Kinda suspicious....but ok. So we get there and his roommate corners us and keeps asking me about what to get his girlfriend for christmas. I talked to him a bit, while M took off to "find his little brother". After a bit I was like, "well..its really quiet in here for a party". His roommate just kept talking as we walked down a hall. Finally we got to the door to the main room. He stopped and told me that M was through the door. Ok, now i was nervous. I opened the door and the room was lined with boys holding candles and roses. They had made an isle, so I figured I was supposed to walk down it. As I started walking every boy I passed got down on one knee and handed me a rose. As I got across the room I finally saw M. When I got up to him he took the roses and gave them to a brother and then took my hands. He had a speach ( I was so nervous I cant remember all of it) but for what I can remember it was..."You are the last thing I think of when I go to sleep at night and the first thing I think of when I wake up. You are a perfect fit. I could never find anyone more perfect for me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He then said something about the letters and put the lavalier on me. Then all of the boys got down and sang their sweetheart song to me. It was great. Some of the boys even came up and told me that they had been waiting forever to have M do this. Everyone just kept hugging us all night. We sat down and had a few glasses of champagne and then left early on. I didnt stop shaking until the next day!

I also got to have a candle ceremony at the last meeting of the year! Finally a senior got to have one. (Strange tradition of freshmen and sophomores getting all the love.)

Does anyone else have any stories like this?
