TBSG Rush Thread
Well, we officially start tommorow by meeting our Gammi Chi groups and going over the schedule and doing a little philanthropy activity.
I woke up this morning and thought I finally start tommorow YES! after waiting soooo long!
For the get to know our group meeting I was thinking about wearing capris or khaki's and a nice shirt. Should I be concerned what I wear for the first day since we are not even going to be meeting the actives?
And, yes I will post everyday!

Good luck on your recruitment!
I wouldn't worry too much about what to wear today, but you should look nice and neat, if nothing else.
Relax and have fun!

Give us the scoop: Where are you and which sororities?
We want details!
Good luck, keep an open mind, yadda yadda... you'll hear it over and over again, but it's so important.

Best of luck to you!! I know two people who were Greek at Truman State and have nothing but positive things to say about it! Looking forward to your updates.

Don't worry about it. We had a teacher that made up names for all the sororities and fraternities and made fun of us when ever we wore letters. I think on the first day of class he was like "ok, there are five three sideway M's in this class (five tri-sigma's), 2 A=trinangle (AZD), and 3 OM's (Phi Mu). " I think most greeks are usually used to people getting their letters mixed up. It's ok!

Doesn't Truman have a couple local sororities that participate in Panhel rush also?
oh, and about the AEA thing...we have sisters who have been sisters longer than most of you have been alive who still do that.

No, the locals don't participate in panhel recruitment at Truman. At least not the two years that I was there! They have separate rush a bit later in the semester. There they have Sigma Chi Delta, which is a local social sorority. Then the Society of the Prim Roses is a social group interested in bringing another national to campus. There is also Alpha Sigma Gamma, which is a HUGE local service sorority (lots of fun girls from all the houses in it too... can't tell that I pledged them for a while, eh? lol...) There are some other local groups of various kinda I think, be it service or not. There's a small "non greek" sisterhood that goes by Beta Omega Beta (BOB--how much sense does that make to go ahead and use greek letters... but anyway *sheesh*)
But I'm not one to judge, so whoever wants to do whatever...
