Favorite holiday edible/drinkable
What is your favorite winter holiday edible/drinkable?
Mine is boiled custard. Not yucky eggnog. Real boiled custard and maybe a cup of ambrosia with real, just whipped Dream Whip made with fresh cream.
Yum!

It's gotta be my older sister's homemade red velvet cake *yum* She always makes me a cake for myself No wonder why I gain so much wait during break!

You're the second person within a week to ask me this...my boyfriend didn't know what it was, either. I guess they don't have it in West Virginia where he's from. Anyway, cream candy is made from cream and sugar and it's cooked so that it gets to the consistency of taffy, and then you have to pull it like you would taffy and then it's cut into pieces about an inch and half long. It's best when it's been in the refrigerator (or, in our case, out on the back porch) and it's cold when you bite into it. Good cream candy will be sort of chewy when it's first made, then set into a kind of flaky consistency, and it melts in your mouth. Mmmmmmmmm...

Chicken and dumplings and chicken salad. Okay, neither of these are neccesarily holiday food, but that's the only time I ever have them.
Oh, and my grandmother's pecan pie!
