DU at Marietta College

Is there any official work on whether or not DU will recharter at Marietta this semester?

Rumors have gone around since they kicked off campus in 2006 that they were coming back. It's always been denied but now it seems like IFC is aware that they are going to recharter in the spring.

What I find odd, though, is that the Kent State chapter thought that they came back and had rechartered already.

I hope they do,it was really unfortunate when they had to close. They have a really strong history at Marietta

I contacted DU IHQ for an answer today and was told that Marietta will be an expansion project next Fall (2010). So it sounds like a colony is in the near future!

Update on the Marietta chapter-

An expansion team from IHQ came to campus in October. Four men including myself accepted bids. The interest just wasn't there. After two weeks colonization was canceled.

It's unfortunate that I won't become a DU but I appreciate the treatment I received from the brothers who visited us.
