does anyone know if there is any rule about legacies coming back to recruitment for the second time if they didn't get in last time? i haven't been able to find anything yet, but maybe someone out here knows?

Is this formal or informal receruitment??

There is no rule about allowing her to come and participate in recruitment again. If she particpates in formal recruitment you need to follow standard legacy policies.

I am sensing the vibe that the chapter is not interested in pledging the women, which is OK as unfortunately not all legacies are a fit for a chapter. However please extend every courtesy to this young woman -think how you would want your daughter treated by an A Phi chapter!

Hope this helps, I understand this is a tough situation...

Question

Do legacies get special consideration when it comes to grades?

My chapter sadly closed before I went through rush as a sister. If anyone would like to fill me in I would so appreciate it.

Legacies should meet and maintain the same requirements as any Alpha Phi Sister in the respective chapters in scholarship based on the chapter bylaws. If a chapter has a min. GPA to pledge then the legacy would have to meet that requirement. I have never heard of any chapters having special GPA standards for legacies.

I should have been clear, but what is if a Legacy who is a PNM goes though rush and has a GPA below recruitment standards. Would she get dropped at first cut or is there a different standard for PNM who are legacies?
