OK...I'm not from that area but I have plenty of family that is. It's not that it's a bad place to live or anything. I'm just more biased to south Louisiana. Some parts of Shreveport can get a little scary...namely around the Fairgrounds. It's a nice town though. Right there on the Red River...they have the riverboat casinos and I'm sure lots of activities down by the river. Natchitoches...which I believe is the oldest town in Louisiana is not that far away. It's got some nice homes and really cute shops. I'm sorry I can't give you more info. I just know that I find north Louisiana more dull than south Louisiana. North Louisiana also tends to be more redneckish than south Louisiana...you definitely won't run into many cajuns up there. Overall it's a nice town, decent weather, and decent food.
She's actually from Kentwood. It's a little Podunk town in South Louisiana about 30 minutes from my hometown. Why'd ya have to go and mention her? You tainted this entire thread!!!! JUST KIDDING!!!!
