if i am pledging a chapter and am soon to be initiated, but want to move to a different school in the fall, will it be possible for me to re-affiliate with the chapter at my new school? what will i have to do to make this happen?

That would depend on your organization. Depending on your fraternity/sorority, affiliating with a new chapter may not be a sure thing.
There are some organizations whose chapters do not automatically accept transfers.
There are also some chapters (typically large ones) of some fraternties/sororities who do not take transfer affiliates at all because their chapter is one that has alot of people trying to transfer in and they don't have room (I remember hearing this about some chapters at UF).

Huh!? If it's an NPC, then it is at least a national sorority! Are you I. A small regional sorority? Why don't you check your group's bylaws?

You'd need to talk to your advisors about the EXACT procedures of your sorority and transferring.
Also, keep in mind that depending on which sorority you're in, affiliating with a new chapter may not be a guarantee. There are some sororities whose chapters do not automatically accept transfers.
If the chapter at your NEW school is a larger chapter with alot of girls trying to transfer in, keep in mind that they may not allow transfer affiliates because of their size. Example: I know that some chapters at schools like LSU and UF may not take transfers because there are too many girls trying to affiliate.

That might have passed as a legitimate response if it weren't for KSUViolet's signature color.

that is true. in addition, you may not want to affiliate with the chapter at your new school. you may want to wait and go thru recruitment at the new school.

Spam in the signature.
Plus, if you notice, her reply is a cut and paste from KSUViolet's, so she wasn't contributing anything. It made it seem like s/he was on topic.

Exactly what I was thinking. Chapters of the same sorority have a different personality on different campuses. You may really click with XYZ sorority on your current campus, but get to your new campus and discover that it just isn't there. Instead, you may find that ABC at your new campus are the ones you feel most at home with. If you go through with your initiation to XYZ before you transfer, you're locked in to XYZ for life.
A close friend was in this situation. She was a pledge at Auburn when a full scholarship at FSU lured her away. As soon as she was sure she was transferring she just felt deceitful somehow in continuing the pledge program when she knew she wouldn't be there as an active sister. She decided to depledge at Auburn, which was the right decision for her. I think this must be a very individual choice, though.
