Several great things have happened around here this week. I think my favorite, though, is that a cold front came thru and our highs have gone from being in the near 90's to the mid 70's

The best thing to happen to me this week, thus far, is that I got a behind the scenes tour of lion/tiger hill at the National Zoo this evening! (I'm a keeper at the zoo) It was so amazing to see these huge animals up close! They are so big and look so cuddly but in reality are ferice predators, looks can be so decieving! Plus I got to see the 3 tiger cubs, that are almost as big as their mom! Talk about an awesome way to end a long work day :-D

I went out with like 15 people that used to live in the apartments with me at Michigan State. We invaded a pizza parlor in K-zoo, and despite the very loud sharing of fun memories we did not manage to get kicked out. It was however quite ironic to discover the local police parked in the lot directly across from the pizza place when we left

I found out my next job rotation at work will be the one that was at the top of my list of possibilities and allows me to stay in the same facility: so no moving in the near future!

The best thing that happened to me this week...
Lots of fun things happened over Thanksgiving weekend!!!

But I had a really odd thing that happened to me this week that made it a good week. I now feel like I am in demand. I was desperately asked to interview for a state job that I did not apply for. I purposely did not apply because I didn't want to relocate to the UP (aka the land of far far away with NOTHING to do; it's a great vacation spot, but I would get seriously bored there). But the guy arranging interviews called to ask me to interview after he searched out my resume in the general file at MI Dept of Ag. (And I was convinced people that said they would keep your resume on file were lieing) Anyways, I'm really excited because I've noticed many new job openings in my area recently, hopefully I will be able to find a job close to home.

AWESOME NEWS BUFF!

Pass some of those jobs along! I need some country sunshine and farm boys in my life, no more Detroit as soon as I have any say in it!

And Happy Belated Birthday DD!
I might come to LA this weekend on Sunday, maybe we can celebrate then!

I'm excited this week because its Christmas and that's always exciting. I'm going shopping tomorrow (12-23), I'm really late this year.

But the most exciting thing this week is career related. I received a letter yesterday saying that I'm eligible for the NRCS job that I want in St Johns. This only means that I'm added to the list of canidates that could receive an interview, but its one step closer to the job!!

Yeah for LA!

Miss you bunches and hope we can do lunch soon... or Dirty Don!

Wow that makes us sound like classy ladies

The best thing for me this past week was that the University of Delaware Alumni chapter had their annual meeting and I was able to go this year. It was a great time, and business got done! To top it off, the evening ended with a chocolate fondou (sp?) pot with fruit, cake and marshmellows to din into it, yum!
