Badge Ring

I am looking for the ring that converts our badge into a ring. Does anyone know where to find it?

I checked Chi-O Creations but they don't have it. If I remember correctly, you can order them out of the Eleusis in the back (sometimes)....

Badge rings (or pendants) can be ordered from Chi Omega's official jeweler, Burr Patterson & Auld. Here is a link to their website: Burr Patt

I've had one for almost 15 years. It's a great way to be able to wear your badge. (Although I have been asked if I was a Malcolm X fan!)

Nutbrn,
That is so funny about the Malcom X thing!

Speaking of badges, I have heard of brides wearing their badge on their wedding day. For you married sisters, did you do that? For you single ones, do you plan on wearing yours?

Yeah, and when I lived in Cincinnati -- a couple of people wanted to know if I was an XU fan! (Xavier Univ.)

I have also heard of it. I'm hoping to wear mine. I think most women wear it over their heart on the inside of their dress. I have heard of some who pinned it to a handkerchief they held, but I'd be too afraid I'd loose it!!!!

I think it would be nice to wear it when I get married. I heard one sister wore on her garter belt!

In Canada, we have a university called "St. Francis Xavier" or SaintFX for short, and yes, the alumni from that school often wear what we call "X rings".

I want one! I think I'll have to put that on my Christmas list...but Christmas is so far away!

Question: If you had one of these or a badge necklace, when would you wear it? I know you'd want to make sure you were "dressed for your pin" but what kinds of places (work, church, etc) would you wear it to and for what kinds of occasions?

The only "rule" is that you have to be an alumna to wear the badge as a pendant or ring. I used to wear mine all the time. I wear mainly silver these days, so the old yellow gold badge has found a home in the jewelry box except for when I attend sorority functions.

So you should get a silver one Nut!!! I was thinking of getting a silver one and the silver ring, but I already have a ring with the crest that I wear every day so I guess that will do.

Kelly, I'd wear the ring necklace anywhere - church, work, alumane functions definitely...
