disappointed...
My boss had been talking about giving me a raise for a couple months now. I guess he and the head boss finally talked and the head boss would take care of everything. However no one bothered to tell me how much the raise was until today.
I was making 12.50/hr and honestly, that's really hard to pay you own rent, bills, car stuff, groceries, and have some spending money on the side. And my boss knew that, which is why the raise was going to occur (and I have proved myself to be a more efficient designer than the last few.)
I got a $1.25 raise. This was after my boss was talking about a $3 raise AND the last designer who only stayed 2 months was still making more than I am now (I've been here since December).
I know I shouldn't be mad because a raise is a raise... but I am still kinda irked. Especially since I have been working my ass off. How can i express my disappointment without sounding whiny?
