Thumbs up How About a Prime Ministers' Day?!

My friend sent me this email and I found it quite interesting....

VOTE YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The government is considering a new holiday and the Globe and Mail is doing a poll on if we as Canadians would like to have another national holiday same as US Presidents Day bout ours would be Prime Ministers Day. Please go to the attached link, click on Globe Archives and the poll column is on the left-hand side and vote "yes" and maybe we will get another long weekend.

I did this last night and so far the results are pretty close on whether or not to establish a PM day. It also has a poll asking which PM should be the 1st to be commemorated: I chose MacDonald, like most other people (heck, it seemed the logical choice). American GCers feel free to check this out too .

screw that...our prime ministers do not deserve a day after them, there's only a few in history that are worthy of such a bestowment.
But if you're going to vote for anyone pick Laurier or Trudeau.

Lil_G - isn't that the truth ....

At least it would be refreshing to have Canadians know more about the past Prime Ministers ...

Pearson would be great... he's a DU from U of T ...but I had to vote for MacDonald! Trudeau would be amy second choice!
