Rich Kids of Beverly Hills on E!
WTF?! I watched an episode. Such a horrible stupid show.
All of them talk in this annoying voice just like Paris Hilton and ALL of the Kardashians. The voices are whiny, high pitched, nasally, and almost every sentence ends with a question mark. How annoying. I can't stand being around people with that voice.
Anyway....
Magic Johnson's son is on this show. He has also been a guest on Joan Rivers' fashion show. Good for him and thank God his family is loving and supporting of his relationship with his boyfriend.
Too bad he's on this show. Yuck. Anyone else seen it?

Haven't watched it, but I heard it's been panned pretty much universally. I'm afraid to watch it and lose brain cells in the process.

Yes, I've seen it. I don't understand how they're able to get away with spending so much of their parents money on frivolous things especially in their mid-20's. One girl spent $480,000 at one location. I mean how much can their parents make with them spending so much money?

The show is just trashy and just proves that wealth can't buy class.
Since most of them live off their parents, where are they? I would not tarnish my name/reputation just so my bratty kids could get 15 minutes of fame on a show that probably won't even get a second season.

Ugh I could only tolerate 10 minutes. This show does not have any redeeming qualities in my humble opinion.

I painfully sat through an episode. My eyes were crossed when it was over. I felt like I wanted to choke -a-bitch. Ugh is an understatement.

Yes! At least Honey Boo Boo's family seem like nice people and genuinely care about each other. After almost making it through one episode, I can't say that any of those rich kids care about anything or anyone other than themselves. I hope Magic Johnson and his wife are appalled at the behavior of their son. I expected more from him given who his parents are.

I admit I watched about 15 minutes of a re-run. It isn't my fault, I fell asleep on the SATC marathon (I've seen those episodes hundreds of times).
This Rich Kids of Beverly Hills was the re-run of them on vacation (I assume) and there was a HUGE flying bug (grasshopper?) on the wall. That was funny. That followed a scene where the Johnson son and this other guy were doing a choreographed dance routine at the night club. LOL. This show is very entertaining and part of it is because it is more like a sitcom. It's also distracting that they now show twitter or instagram (I don't know what this stuff is called) after every scene. That's a good distraction from the stupidity of the show but that also makes it apparent this show is not for my generation.

I recorded two episodes of this show the other night.
I will admit to watching some pretty ridiculous shows in the past, which, with their ridiculous concepts, people, and scenarios, have sucked me in and kept me interested week to week. They were my guilty pleasures, if you will. I thought this show might be similar (thinking it would be more like "The Hills" or "Jersey Shore" and just full of some young adult drama).
Uh.. no. This show is just stupid. I got 15 minutes into episode 1 before I stopped and deleted it, and also deleted episode 2.
I didn't know this show even existed before I read this thread, and I'd like to pretend that I never saw it at all.
Awful. Just awful.

^^^ LOL. Don't you dare compare this show to The Hills unless you're talking about The Hills Have Eyes (great movies that depict nightmares). Jersey Shore isn't as good as The Hills but even it can't be compared to Rich Kids.
I liken Rich Kids to the spinoff show that Snooki and JWow did. That was the epitome of dumber than dumb. Then Snooki got all holier than thou based on an unplanned discovery of her fertile uterus and a planned discovery of an elliptical machine. /end jabs
Oh...I came to this thread to say that MJ's son (his real name will matter when he becomes important) is now a fashion correspondent for E! News. He said during one of the Rich Kids episodes that he hoped to have his own talk show one day. First, he will probably be pressured to match his sense of style, sense of humor, and dance moves with some bodily-aesthetic value. The Bravo Fashion Queens may need to chat with him about that.
