My latest addition and my most prized, is my Nikon F100. I also have the 6006 and N50. I have some vintage cameras that were given to me and I had as a kid. I ll go home and look at them and post what they are.

I love to photograph sports. The human form in motion is an amazing thing. I'm an athlete and a former competitive one. It helps to know instinctively what to look for. I like documentary also. Tell a story with pictures.

I don't like posed pics. They look too phony but that's just me.

I own a digi cam nothing fancy 2 mega pixel, its in my friends posession currently though.
Im a picture freak i have albums and albums of pictures i took during events from jr high --> high school ---> college.
other then the regular "posed" pictures i like nature pics.
If i had the money i would get an 8 mega pixel camera. My friend Drew has one and the photos come out so CRISP.
I think he spent something like $700 dollars on it but its a source of income for him so its understandable

thats one of his pics. u see how clear that is
if you ladies want to pass me 100 dollars each Ill head right over to circuit city

So basically, we're the same person!

Well, as far as SLR cameras go, I own the Nikon 6006, but it stopped working properly a while ago and I never took it in for repairs. Then I started using a digital camera, and even though I prefer the SLR, the digi is just so much more convenient for me. (And less expensive in the long run, since I primarily use it for the web.)

film vs digital

If I were to look for a film camera what would I look for so that I could take clear, no/low noise pictures?

I know that for digital cameras I have to look at the size of the sensor and the number of mega pixels but I honestly have no clue about film cameras.

Canon S410...4 Mega Pixels....it is great!

I was in photography class in HS, and I loved taking pics of architectural details, like the crown molding on a front porch, or the sconces on a wall. I used a Minolta with B&W film in HS.

Now, as far as people...I like the element of surprise. Ain't nothing like having a person in your viewfinder, and you either say their name or some funny phrase to get their attention, and then CLICK!

Priceless black mail...I mean pictures! LOL!

I'm not too sure about the element of surprise. You might end up with some really u-g-l-y (you ain't got no alibi) facial expressions. I definately prefer taking pictures of people when they don't know it's happening. That way, they don't have a chance to tense up or make those grimacing "smiles". I have taken posed pictures of this one guy many times and everytime he thinks he's smiling it always looks like a sneer.

standard SLR - Olympus I30 DLX
digital camera (for the moment) HP photosmart 735 (3.5 mp)
I'll get the Canon Rebel EOS digital SLR once I get through back to school season.

I like to take pictures of natural scenery. I really like to take pictures of objects from unusual angles. Like a photograph of a forest that may look architectural or something. Photos that you look at and are like. That's cool. What is it?

I like taking photos of people in the moment, but sometimes I like poses with a little imagination to them

I love photography but haven't been able to invest in it like I want to yet.
I only have a digi, Canon Powershot A75. I can't until I can pick up an SLR and head out for a nature hike.

i have a pentax super program.
i love it, but i havent used it in like 2 years.
im sad about that.

i like b/w pics, and i really love developing the film--thats an art form in itself!

if i were to get into photography, i would want to get into portraits.
so if anyone does portraits and is in the NYC area, holla at me.

I just bought a SLR camera and a mini dv camera. The SLR was a far better investment, because I went cheap on the mini dv. I really just bought it for reference video. I usually hire a cinematographer when I produce. I will buy a digital camera next time around.

I like to shoot still life in natural lighting.
