Is it the lighting, or it that pin all gold, no black enamel?

I think it is just the lighting......If you look really close you can sorta see the black enamel. It is a bad picture and hard to tell.

I thought it was one of those ancient Adelphian style pins, and my heart was truly aflutter at the possibility! Although, I have to admit that I would probably (probably! rise to the occasion and give such a pin to EO - or so I'd like to think!
