In this thread, we write FSM recommendations

In this thread, we write glowing letters of recommendation for Phi Sigma Mu, the new Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster GLO. As a reminder, recs for GCers you have never met get extra points, and the more flattering, the better.

You were slightly humorous in the beginning, but I find you to be corny.

I beg you to rethink your jokes before you post them.

That's not a very convincing recommendation, Rudey. Maybe if you mention that the PNM hasn't been noodled by anyone's appendage yet only because he/she is saving themselves, Phi Sigma Mu would get a better sense of the PNM's moral fortitude.

I second this motion, and ask you to say it to yourself really quietly before you say it out loud.

Or you could just PM Rudey, and he'll let you know if it's post-worthy.

I wasn't slamming you. Actually I was complimenting your sense of humor. If I wanted to make sure that pastafarian was pathetic, I'd tell him to have hoosier proof his posts.

I think a standard form letter would be best. We all know that form letters make the best recs.

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing to recommend _______ for membership in Phi Sigma Mu. I have been touched by His Noodly Appendage, and would like to see ______ get touched, too.

I have known ______ for ______ (circle one: days/months/years), and can attest to his/her taste in fine Italian cuisine. He/She also has rich parents and can therefore pay any dues associated with the organization. Plus, he/she is very dedicated and trustworthy, and those two qualities are probably good to have.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information regarding ______ and his/her worthiness as an FSM member.

In His Noodliness,
SydneyK
