Bizarre Love/Social Life?
What bizarreness is going on in your Love or Social life lately??
I've had a string of strangeness which I'll share shortly--would love to see some other people's first!

I've always have a strange social life, not just recently. Perhaps it's the kind of people I surround myself with. I just want to give a word of wisdom, OPEN MINDEDNESS IS NOT A VIRTUE!
*Steps off the soap box*
Bizarre Love? They're has only been 2 guys I ever had true feelings for in my life. The first guy I met in fifth grade, I still feel the same way about him as I did 10 years ago, I thought it was just a schoolgirl crush. The second guy I met at a mixer last year. I don't know if that would be considered as bizarre or not.
Oh yeah, from 6 to 12 grade I had NO social life at all, and as soon as I graduated, it just blossomed. Some would probably say that I went from geek to greek.

my dating life is the pits
The last guy I went out with was the older brother of a guy I went out with a few months prior. They both were bad kissers and had bad manners...
Blind date with an alcoholic...but I hear he quit drinking after an infortunate incident with a raging alcoholic PSYCHO stalker...
A guy a friend set me up with who had rancid B.O.
(she had bad allergies and couldnt smell)...
Then there is the hodge podge of guys with octopus hands, dirty sailor mouths, married guys who lie about being married and having kids...and misc psychos.
Ive been single from a relationship for a year....and I cannot believe how many strange men are in the world. I think maybe nice girls finish last!

OK, here's mine.
1. I met Jon Bon Jovi in April thru a good friend of mine. (there's a thread on it on GC somewhere!) --my friend sent me the following in an email Friday--
just saw your boy bon jovi on the set of ALLY MCBEAL and once again he couldn't stop talking about you. i was starting to get a little jealous.
OMG. How bizarre/good is that?
2. Another friend of mine, a very good one, got married last Spring. Confessed all sorts of feelings to me last week ie: "WE should be together, this is ridiculous, my biggest regret..." Um...OK? Why tell me that when nothing can be done about it. This friend also in entertainment industry/high profile. (BTW, I tend to agree with him, we DO belong together)
3. Made out with/groped a Seattle Mariner on Sat night. DAYUM he was a good kisser. Here's the thing though-- I have NO IDEA what his name is, I was THAT drunk. Its not even on the tip of my tongue, I have no clue. THAT'S NEVER happened to me before! LOL
But is there a nice, normal, realistic, single guy I like?? LOL Not at the moment. That's OK, I'll be riding the Jon Bon Jovi high for awhile. And who can compete with that? LOL

My weird social/love life issues? Lets think about that one:
1) I broke up with the guy I was dating at the end of the first week of November. After an unfortunate little fight in a bar on my birthday, we didnt talk for two weeks. This isnt to say I didnt try. I left two "hi, how are you?" messages on his machine; that is my limit, after that it is up to the other person. I had given up and gotten over him when, the night before I went home for Thanksgiving, he called and invited me over to his fraternity house for some pumpkin pie (they'd had a Thanksgiving dinner for the boys they are rushing). He calls me twice over Thanksgiving and the night I come back he calls me while I was at a bar and tells me to call him when I get back because he wants to talk to me. He tells me that he really likes me, but he can't devote the time to be my boyfriend, but he wants to be with me... my question here is who in the f--- does he think he is to think that he can put me in that sort of a situation? (I just dont do the random hookup on a regular basis minus committment thing and to have him suggest this... its totally unfair, plus why should I let him play with my head like that?)
2) Now, guy #2 - from another house on campus (and a stronger one with cooler guys in it) had been trying to get me to go out with him since the beginning of school. I went out to dinner with him last week. I FLIPPED out before he picked me up because I didn't want to go, but I had the best time!!! He's taking me to his fraternity's date party this week and I am soooo excited (especially because it is my first date party!) But the one problem... I don't know that I like this guy as anything more than a friend.
3) Guy #3 and I engaged in some mild hall-cest earlier this year. He is gorgeous although dorky, but dorky in a little lost puppy-dog way. He is everything I want in a guy... but I don't know that he wants me back.
I guess its just one of those ironic situations where I have two guys falling at my feet... yet I want a third that I cant have

Warning: If I ever sold my life story, and that's only 21 years so far, I could make a mint in Soap Opera circles!
Between my friend and I, we have dated every guy in our social circle. Not so weird you might say, except for the fact that almost 75% of them, she dated after me. We still are best friends, and I have no issues with that (obviously they weren't right for me, but they could be for her - case in point, the one guy I didn't date, she is now promised to)
So that's what, about 100% on the stangeometer!

Okay, so Brady and I have been broken up since early October...and I've met many interesting guys since then.
Before I met Nick I was juggling 4 guys at the same time. There was nothing serious with any of them (and I didn't do anything to put myself in comprimising situations), but it was damn hard to fit them into my schedule. My cell phone went off at odd hours and I can only imagine how my bill's going to look like.
It's early December now and I'm no longer talking those 4. I had a string of first dates but that's about it...
Now I find myself jonesing over Nick, but I know that he's way out of my league. He's got too many things going for him right now...but I know that he won't mind hanging with the AGDs every once in a while.
Not too bizarre to most, but bizarre enough for me.

Hey Teeny,
Give yourself a break. Maybe you're one of the things he has going for himself.

Thank you, Delt Alum, you stole the words right out of my mouth. Or in this case, my keyboard.

Thanks DeltAlum and Maria. We'll see what happens after the season's over. From now until then I know I'll have a good time getting to know him better.

My fraternity had a mixer with a sorority and I met a girl who had the same last name as my best friend, so I introduced them. My friend and this girl hit it off right away and it looked like they were going to hook up.
After a few hours, they got talking about Ireland. They had both visited Ireland and had stayed with family members in the same town. Then they realized that they even stayed in the the same neighborhood and on the same street. My friend eventually called his grandmother and he found out that the girl of his dreams was his cousin. Needless to say they didn't hook up.

I was going to say the same things as Delt Alum and Greeklawgirl. I think we all tend to believe the person we like is a little beyond us, even when everyone tells us differently. ITs the insecurity built into like So don't sell yourself short girl!
