MTV Movie Awards

Am I the only one that watched this??? I did a search and found nothing! Shocking! Anyway...

I was trippin' off of Kelly Osbourne's performance. When they said she was gonna perform, I thought she had her own song. But I guess it was cool. Their mother is such a good mom!!

I was ELATED that they gave the director of Memento an award!!! People really did not like that movie, but I LOVED it!!! I'm hoping that he does more like it!! Seeing him get the award made me want to watch it again!!!

While Eminem was performing, what's her name (from Girl Interrupted and the 'I'll never tell...' movie) had her middle fingers up... she was killin me. I think she was high, cuz she was giggly than a mug.

I've never seen Panic Room, but after last night, I just have to see it, lol, because the spoof was hilarious, and I need to know now what is really going on in the movie!!

I have never been as proud of Chris Tucker as I was last night!!!! He got up there and said an entire speech, NO JOKES!! Not a single one, and was political. I loved it!!!!! But did him and the host have on the same suit??? Now, I was dyin' at that, lol.

That's all I can think of right now. I had took some notes, lol, but I can't find the paper. I just can't believe there's not a thread on this right now.

Thumbs up I watched it

I love the MTV Movie awarda. The spoofs they do are sooo funny. I love the spiderman one where in the end the little Yoda face is talking.

Kelly Osbourne did her thing. I could tell she was nervous up ther. I beleve it was her first ever performance. You could tell her family was proud.

I do not remember hearing about the movie Mementos. I have got to see it now. It looks good.

I was mad that Martin Lawrance went out there just to do a promo for his movie!!! What was that about???

And yes finally, Chris Tucker did make me proud when he went up there and told everyone to contact there local Senator. That is what I am talking about, use your status to make a difference!

Yeah, its bout time the movie/director got accolades.... thats a definate must see.

See, y'all are making me want to give Memento another try. I own the movie and I've attempted to watch it like 3 times and every time, I get frustrated within the first 20 minutes and turn it off. I love crazy, "I don't know what just happened" type movies, but this one just can't hold my attention in the beginning. I think that will be my Sunday afternoon project - to watch Memento from beginning to end.

Speaking of crazy, "I don't know what just happened" type movies, has anyone seen Mulholland Drive? This movie is totally obscure, and it has been compared to Memento and Pulp Fiction. I loved it! It has been the topic of some serious debate in my office as of late. If anyone has seen it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Wait, I just took this thread in a whole different direction. Maybe I should just start a new thread about obscure movies.

DEFINITELY give it another try!!!!! Believe me and PrettyPoodle!! It was the BOMB!! Now, when we watched it, we had to keep going back a scene at the beginning, cuz we didn't grasp that it was moving backwards. We can be a little short-bus-ish sometimes, lol, but the movie had us jacked at first. But if you watch it until the end, you will LOVE it!!!! Especially if you like movies like that (Go, Fight Club, this one Gwyneth Paltrow flick). Shoot, I wish I owned it. If you still don't like it after Sunday (you gon' be all hungover, lol), I'll take it off your hands!

Number 1: Memento is the bomb! My roomie had one of his friends over while I was trying to watch it and they were all talking and laughing so I paused the movie, lectured them about common courtesy, and kicked them out of the living room, lol. Ever since then his boy calls me "Mama." lol

Number 2: I have seen Mulholland Drive and that mess is WILD! I have heard a few good theories and I will share them if you want. I look forward to an obscure movie thread cause I watch 'em all!

See, I never knew the movie was moving backwards. Now that I do, maybe I'll have a little more patience in trying to figure it all out. Now, I've never seen Go, but I'll have to put that in my rental queue (I use netflix.com). I LOVED Fight Club. I think the Gwyneth Paltrow movie you're talking about is Sliding Doors, which I also loved. And you're right, after I have my Hairy Buffalo tomorrow night, I plan to chill at the house all day on Sunday.

WILD is definitely the word to describe that movie. I mean, I was cool for the first hour and a half and then all of a sudden, all hell broke loose. I would love to hear your theories. After all that debates I've had with people, I have a few of my own. How many times have you watched it?

I missed the whole show...was watching Essence. But I did see Kelly Osbourne's performance. Yep, she was nervous, but I think she has some potential. She needs to start doing her own music though. She needs some more vocal training. Her voice cracked up...especially at the end. It seemed that everything was more coreograhped and didn't really move in a "natural" flow.

Hopefully she'll keep on working at it. It's kind of interesting how the right amount of $$ can get you're little girl a guest appearance on an awards show!

I'm mad I missed my other husband on the Awards. But I did see the last few minutes of Kelly's performance, and she did REALLY well! I was surprised. You could tell her mom and brother were very proud as well. I love their show, and you can tell that the Osbournes really love each other. But I wasn't really planning on watching the MTV awards this year. Sad.
