Transferring

Hey everyone. I am transferring to Ohio State from Miami University next fall and was wondering since it will be my senior year (though i may need to go a 5th year to make up the progress i will lose in the transfer) if it would be worth it to tryt o affiliate there. I really think it would be great because I am going to need to meet people, but i wonder if it will be weird because I will be a senior and feel like i am coming in late in the game. I would appreciate any input or advice!

Do it! I'm also transferring next year, and would love to affiliate, but our chapter at that school is closed. It's worth a shot and will be a great way to meet some new people on campus!

I second Kathleen and say to go for it.

I transferred to the Univ of Puget Sound as a Junior and affiliated with our chapter there. I am fairly confident that if I hadn't affiliated, I might not be as active an alumna as I am.

Word of caution though, the women at Ohio State might be different than the women in your chapter at Miami.

Good Luck

Melanie

Definitely go for it! After several years of greek life, I think it would feel weird to you to be "on the outside looking in".

At the very least, meet with the sisters at your new chapter to see if you and they "click"

Do it! I'm transferring in the fall, and would love to affiliate but the school doesn't have a chapter.

If nothing else, jsut go hang out a few times and meet your sisters!

I would say get to know the girls and see what your schedule will be like before you make a decision.

You should definately meet the girls there. I also go to Ohio State and have a few friends within that sorority. They are definately very sweet girls, not bitchy at all. There house is very pretty located on Greek Row (15h Ave). They are definately worth getting to know. Just make a trip up here sometime and ask to tour the house. PM me if you wanna know anything else!
