Recruitment with daughter #2
Recruitment in August will be the second go round for us. Daughter #1 was initiated at Auburn and has now transferred to another SEC school. She is going through the process of affiliating. She has just finished finding her outfits for recruitment week and is looking forward to meeting more members during work week.
Daughter #2 is the one we are about to watch maneuver the week of recruitment. She has outfits already and has registered for recruitment just this week. She is going to a college where there are 5 groups. She has recs for all but one. Recs need to be in by August 1 so there is still some time.

Is it easier with #2? Is your daughters group at #2 school? Has #1 prepared #2 or are SEC school vastly different from each other? Are you sad that #1 and #2 aren't going to the same school?

Daughter #1 at SEC school
Daughter #2 is not (or least I don't know of any SEC schools with just 5 NPC sororities)

Yes, oldest is at a very large SEC and #2 is at a mid size liberal arts college. #2 is more laid back than #1 and is taking it all in stride. #1 was very anxious during her recruitment.

I don't believe they are at the same campus.

^^^ I think shirley is asking if Daughter #1's sorority has a chapter at the different school that Daughter #2 will be attending.

sadly no. there is a chapter of daughter #1's roommate at the school. roommate is close family friend (family vacation/extra daughter). so she's excited that DD #2 could be a true "sister" possibly.

So today is movin day. She will meet with her Pi Chi and her group of 11 other girls around 6 for dinner and recruitment orientation. She heard from her PiChi earlier in the week. We will put the finishing touches on jewelry and her dorm room while we're there today.
Her sister is enjoying being on the other side of recruitment and will finish up her week with bid day on Monday.

So recruitment is now over.
DD#2 had a great time. She had parties at 3 of 5 groups. She had 1 pref party but that's all it takes. She is now a very happy Delta Zeta.
Her sister had a great bid day with her chapter and has started classes.
