I never liked Bennigan's. I think there's only 1 around here. I don't know anyone who really eats there and I wouldn't know if the 1 here has shut down.

Ate there once...it was okay. Went a second time so I could say I'd "been again."

Bennigans single-handedly set back the acceptance of Irish-style pubs in the U.S. many many years.

It's supposed to be Irish? I always thought it was just supposed to be kitschy (sp?). We have several local Irish pubs in SD but I don't go to them because I usually get a "regulars only" kind of vibe off of them.

Only this guy:

Seriously, the day Bennigan's is an economic indicator is the day I dig up Patrick Henry's decayed corpse and make sweet love to it. The oil level in my neighbor's bitchin' 1986 Berlinetta Camaro is more useful. Bennigan's sucks and should likely be out of business. Now, everyone check for a line at the Subway in your local Wal-Mart - that's better than any hedge-fund indicator. Holy shit.

Some Wal-Marts have McD's, some have Subway, some have something else.

And count me in with the people who thought Bennigan's folded years ago.
