Alpha Phi Omega chapter websites
Hello brothers! I was wondering how many chapters have websites? When I rushed my chapter we kinda sorta had a website but it was like 6 years old and very outdated. So as the VP of Communications I designed our new website. Does anyone else have a website for their chapter?
I'm new to this community so I'll introduce myself, I'm Tony, current President of Alpha Zeta chapter at the University of Kentucky. I'm a Computer Science major so I've taken our chapter's website fairly seriously. I've been working on it for about three years now and it's proven extremely useful for my chapter. In fact some of the officers can't even believe we were able to operate without it.
Well now I've decided to let all APO chapters use my website code for their own chapters! So if you don't have a website or want a better way to organize your brothers check out this site: http://apoonline.org
With this site each brother has a login name so they can review their current total service hours among many other features. Officers can post service projects, or fellowship events and keep track of meeting attendance. Also included is a chapter blog so that you can keep your community and alumni informed. There are just way to many features to try and explain here, please go to my site and see what I have to offer your APO chapter. I'm a brother just like you and I know how difficult it can be managing a chapter and keep records. Many chapters have already signed up, I hope this helps your chapter too!

Its very important that the National Office knows about your chapter website and can add it to the chapter lists that Randy mentioned.
I can say from personal experience that having a chapter website that is up to date AND connected to the National site is very important. Its how I contacted the chapter I pledged.

naraht, nice website. very clean and up to date!
Michael I completely agree. Also make sure your chapter is even listed. I've seen a few chapters that aren't even on the national list (maybe the national list doesn't show inactive chapters).
Anyways if your chapter doesn't have a website and you would like one please contact me or go to http://apoonline.org. You can get your chapter a website in just a few days.

The National List DOES include inactive chapters.
It also shows chapters being re-established, but isn't as accurate as it could be.

Not *that* list. The one that you get from the determine if your school has a chapter ( http://www.apo.org/show/How_to_Start...r/Chapter_List) has inactive chapters, but not the one with the websites. For example if you select by Chapter Greek Letter Designation, you'll see that Alpha isn't there.
(One of the *odder* things from this list is looking at the Installed dates and realizing that we've chartered chapters in every month of the year including June (Delta Eta @ Oregon State), July (Rho Theta @ Capital) and August (Delta Delta @ St. Louis U))

If the chapter is on the list and they don't have the most up to day website, just email the webmaster.
If the chapter isn't on the list, let me know, I'd love to research it. (Always nice when the Director of Chapter Services greets your phone calls with "now what?" )

Connecting APO chapters around the world

It would save your chapter quite a bit of money to reconsider. Plus APOonline isn't just a webhost, it's a custom built chapter management system designed for APO brothers by APO brothers.
I'm trying to get more chapters connected through APOonline because the more brothers using it, the better our chapter communications will be. APOonline generates Sectional and Regional calendars and blogs from all the APOonline chapters so the more chapters who use it, the more brothers will know about your chapter's events and happenings and the more you'll know about other chapters in your area.
If you're still hesitant email me at tony@apoonline.org and we can talk about a discount or even a free trial. That goes for anyone reading this. I'm the President of Alpha Zeta chapter and using this online system has helped our chapter grow so much stronger I can't even begin to explain the benefits.
