What do you miss most about being a kid?

I miss coloring and the big 64 crayon boxes, swings, Barbies, Otter Pops, watching cartoons all day, the little kiddie pools that you could buy at the store and the bottom always ripped, and naptime (I really wish we still had a designated time for napping...).

Unhappy

I miss not having to worry 24 hours a day!

The simple life where many decisions were made for me.

Going out and running wild in the neighbor hood with the local kids and having just plain old fun!

Of course, I wasnt totally wild!

I had a library card before I started Kindergarten and love to read books.

Moms great cooking.

Dont miss all of the spankings at all tho!

recess, naps, believing in Santa (kids are always so much more excited when they don't know the truth), not worrying about money, no bills, getting dirty and not even caring, and playing outside all summer long!.....those were the days

Sandboxes, My Little Ponies, snowforts, the cottage, swimming in the river without knowing how gross and polluted it was, treeforts, thinking that cooking, doing dishes and cleaning were fun, no bills, no homework, doing math that involved smarties, finding running through a sprinkler to be amazng fun.

my typing can be a little faster than my brain sometimes; had to edit for spelling...

Treehouses, comic books, running wild in the neighborhood, Saturnday morning cartoons, Santa's workshop where you would buy two dollar screwdriver sets for your grandpa, velcro shoes and the Dukes of Hazzard.

Playing on organized sports teams with my friends just for fun, not for "glory" or whatever else I played for in high school.

Not ever knowing what it meant to be run down and constantly tired.

Not having to worry about money/thinking that having $50 was a lot

Having all my teachers know my name (and not b/c I show up to class late everyday which is the reason one of my profs knows who I am)

Thinking that Labs and experiments were fun.

Sitting on my porch swing with a popsicle on a warm summer day, and not having an obligation in the world.

I miss having no responsibilities--no bills, no worries, just having fun and enjoying all the things that went along with being a kid.
I miss the idea that I could change the world.
I often hear people say "I wish I knew then what I know now"--when I really think about that--I am so thankful that I don't know what adult life fully entailed!! I only wish I would have taken the time to enjoy it all and live it up for all it was worth!!!
