Carnation and GC'ers,
I would say that the goal would be to let a thread get to 50 or so posts then start using another. That way there is a better break down.
Plus it serves as an easier and more understandable lesson for the Rush Forum because it will end up showing a lot of GC'ers the day to day schedule of Rush at a major Greek school a well as the thoughts and perceptions of TWO PNM's as they go through.
ITs even more educational because you Carnation are heavily interested (being mom) and have such a sophisticated knowledge of Formal Rush processes in general, so that commentary day to day will be invaluable.
The combination of all three things: Both girls going through at the same time with considerable knowledge, Caranation' interest and Carnation's expertise gives a unique opportunity opportunity to show the inner workings of a Formal Rush at a breathtaking level of detail that has not been shown in this forum before and may never be again.
I wrote the original opening post on this thread in a toungue in cheek manner because I thought what I was pointing out was kind of obvious fom context.
It is what occurred to me as I read Carnations first post in the
"official Carnation thread" along with feeling happy for her.
Anyway, that is why I suggested breaking it down a bit and maybe numbering it in volumes. A member will sit through 50 posts and read and process.
Many members, especially interested independants won't sit through 200 posts espcially when the vast majority are quite naturally supportive and complimentary. And its harder to retain all the information after reading through that many posts and going back and rereading is a pain.
So why let the opportunity go to waste? We can have the best of both worlds: we can have a killer informative Rush experience with commentary, as well as be there to support Carnation in her moment of need.
All we need to do is make several smaller threads and number them versus a monster thread. *shrug*
Am I totally off base here? Someone please throw me a friching bone?
