Oldest local sororities that have remained local
I don't know that much about locals but but this would be interesting trivia. Are there any local social college sororities are over 100 years old that have remained local and are still in existence? If so, do any of them use greek letters?
I did find a few here http://localsororitylove.tumblr.com/...ocal-spotlight

Muskingum in Ohio has vintage locals and some newer nationals. Three thriving locals were founded in 1914, 1917, 1927.

Otterbein in Ohio also has locals founded in 1910, 1917, and 1921. I believe they all started out with different names, but switched to greek letters at some point.

Phi Nu founded at MacMurray in 1853 and Willard Society at Nebraska Wesleyan founded in 1889 are both still locals.

Sigma Nu Phi on Eastern Michigan University's Campus is THE oldest, longest continually-functioning local sorority in the nation. We were founded September 30, 1897.

Young Harris College has mostly locals, and I think they are all pretty old. A few national orgs only came on campus in the last several years when it became a 4 year school. Sigma Beta Sigma was founded in 1892 (one of my friends is an SBS.)

Hope College in Michigan has local sororities and fraternities, and they're old. There was a NPC sorority on campus but it didn't make it (I think it was ASA). The local groups are strong.

My undergrad alma mater only had locals.
Prior to 1917, the school had national organizations that were forced to close when the Board made the decision to eliminate Greek life.
The oldest local sorority on campus, Pi Kappa, was founded in 1918 and started as a social group called the Peanuts. The TTK founders were the remaining members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Beta Gamma chapter, originally founded in 1876. The other NPC groups also formed locals but only one group can trace their history all the way back. The others have come and gone over time.
The oldest fraternity on campus was also founded in 1918, by the members of the Alpha Lambda chapter of Beta Theta Pi.

All the sororities (and fraternities) at Augustana College in IL are local. Two of the sororities are over 100 years old: Sigma Kappa Tau and Sigma Pi Delta. (Two others are close: 96 and 90 years old)
