How could I start a chapter on a campus with no existing Greek life?
Hello, I'm interested in the Greek life. Many of my friends from high-school have joined fraternities and sororities at their schools and
I see all the possibilities of networking and involment in so many different things they have available to them. The only problem I have is that there is no Greek life existing on my campus as of now. I would not like to start my own new chapter or anything but i would like to start a chapter of an already existing organization. Im confused as to how I can go about starting a chapter. I saw the advertisement for an ebook online but before i go and spend the $20 I would like to have some input from members and hear what you have to suggest as to what I should start looking into.
Thank you.

You really shouldn't spend $20 on a book about it. The same info is avaliable here for FREE.

Actually it wasnt all that helpful..Who might I have to contact in order to get noticed by the greek community? I know I have to talk to my school and all that, but it is the question of how do I get the group of kids who are willing to support this idea at my school recognized and started off on the right foot towards being nationally recognized?

You're correct that the school has to support the idea of opening the school up to Greek Life before you will ever get a chapter on campus.
Start there first.
As far as "finding people," do a brainstorming session and just try to think guys you know who could potentially be interested.
This isn't something that someone can tell you step-by-step how to do it. You just have to network with other guys and see who might want to get involved.

Webster U in St Louis was very anti-greek life until this year with DU came on. A new sorority will be established in the coming weeks. There are two presentations this week from NPC groups.
