Flat Stanley project help

I'm doing a flat stanley project with my students this year. I'm trying to find people in different states willing to participate. If you are willing please PM me your contact information.

Our whole grade level is doing this project and we are trying to extend it to a semester if not year long project. Hence my need for multiple volunteers. I don't want the students flat stanley's to stay in "one place". I want them to "move around"

Flat Stanley is a paper man or woman. My students colored them. Flat Stanley "visits" people.

I found information at www.flatstanley.com

The short and simple details are all you would have to do is take Flat Stanley with you to work or wherever you and take a picture of it. Then you keep a mini diary, like "monday-flat stanley went to work with me, tuesday-flat stanley went with me to the gym, he had fun doing the treadmill". Very simple.
Digital cameras are wonderful, when I send the flat stanley I'll include my email address.
The most you'll keep flat stanley is 2-3 weeks and then send it back to me and I'll send it off to the next person.
I'm going to get a map and the kids will also learn about geography. They'll practice their writing because they will write you thank you letters.

I'm so down! I <3 mail and taking pictures like that. I took a plush version of my school's mascot on vacation with me and took pictures of him in different places (http://sluggishsummer.blogspot.com/).

Anyway, I'll help!

Flat Stanley might like it in my part of the Sonoran Desert.

One of my sisters (who I don't know) was in the peace core stationed in Palau. She asked for volunteers on Sister Circle to host Flat Stanleys back when we had it. Andy and I had so much fun! We made a book for our Flat Nicole. (She named it after herself.) We even scanned her in for the first page and had it bound. Yes, we went over the top, but we had SO much fun with it!

OMG this reminds me of when my little cousin (who is now 16) was in kinder and did a flat stanley project. The project was done and over with (school was over) and we were in California when one of my family members decided to take it upon herself to add on to my cousin's project.

She ended up having a 3" binder FILLED with a Flat Stanley adventure. She even made a new character--Eck, and they traveled all around San Diego. Waaaaayy too over-kill. She send it back to my cousin's kinder teacher as an 'example' of a project. Yeeah, like any other kindergartener would actually do something like that.

Send him to Idaho! He can also make a quick trip to Washington if I cross the state line behind the Applebees!

I see there is already a volunteer from Ohio but if you'd like another, I'm up for it. What an awesome class project!

My husband's little cousin did Flat stanley with her class, and I took pics when I was in Scotland. I'd love to do it again, because I can take lots of pics at the museum where I work and also I'm moving soon, so I think it would be a neat little story.

Flat Stanley in Scotland.

Does Flat Stanley want to come to Pennsylvania/Delaware? I live near the border of both states.

Aw that's an adorable idea! I'm going to suggest it to my teacher friends. Unfortunately I live a boring life and basically go home and to work so Flat Stanley wouldn't have a good time with me. If you absolutely need more volunteers let me know but I wouldn't be very interesting
