We're at war!!!!!!

I woke up this morning to the Breaking News that there have been some more plane crashes, in Queens New York. My heart goes out to everyone that was involved. There has been speculation that there has been a plane that crashed into a gas station and a neighborhood. What amazes me is the amount of conflicting information that keeps coming about from the different news station. It is understandable that the news stations want to get the most up to date information, but it must be awful for those people who are just hearing of the crashes who have loved ones on the planes and then are told that the information that received was erroneous. What are your reactions to the medias' conflicting information, and what are you doing to prepare for the war. Remember that prayer changes everything, and I send Peace and Blessings to everyone.

I am hesitant to say that we are at war. Spreading erroneous information is not helpful right now. This plane was headed for the Dominican Republic and it is said to have mechanical problems.

Exclamation American Airlines Plane Crash in Queens, NY

I'm sorry, but I don't think the thread title "We're at War' is appropriate at this time because we don't have all the facts. Therefore, I'm merging the posts with this one.

NYC GCers, I hope and pray all of you and your families and friends are ok!

I believe (and hope) Sincere used that heading b/c that's what many of the News Channels are stating right now, which is "jumping the gun", IMO...Every accident that happens in the U.S. in NOT a result of "Terrorism"...I don't even like to used the word "Terrorism" either b/c when you say it people automatically think of an Arab in a Turban--like we don't have Caucasian "Terrorists" running around this country...But, let's watch and see how this unfolds...

It has been said that everyone on board the plane has perished (246 passengers en route to the Dominican Republic)...

I just hope and pray that the families living in those homes in Rockaway were either not home (an unlikely possibility since it's a National Holiday) or at least got out of their homes safely...

Eventhough we are suppose to "get back to normal" - I am seeing New York City not recovering . Once the plane went down-all three airports closed immediately as did all the bridges leading into NYC. I wonder if this will happen always for now on when a crash happens unlike before 9-11.

I don't know what happened...

but, there were reports of mechanical problems.

The plane was delayed for 1 hour and 17 minutes.

I have co-workers leaving for LA tomorrow for a National Conference for Black Educators. You know we are all going to say an extra prayer for them tonight.

Just when you think it's "safe"...
When I heard about this incident thir morning, I was in my SAME routine as I was for 9-11.

Exclamation I heard about this too....

When I heard about this, I was shocked!!! A bunch of my family members called to see if my family was okay. I, being the family oriented person that I am, happily and patiently answered each phone call to let everyone know that my family was okay. The site of this accident is about 5 1/2 miles from where I live, so neither myself or anyone of my immediate family members were hurt.
