LXA Home Site=Web Site
Has anyone checked the web site lately?
I find it somewhat disjointed and lacking?
I know that a lot of work needs to be done to upgraded it, but come on.
It is Our Presentation to the outside world.

Lambdachi.org
It is becoming less useful as time goes on. Material is getting harder and harder to find . . .
Apparently the big plan in the sky is to move to a web based administrative system, with rosters and addresses on line, reports, the whole show. It will be great when it happens - if it happens.
The changes are in the works but roll-out is anybody's guess.

Yeah it is a little sad that our National Website is more than a little lacking, especially when some of our brothers' school websites are better than what nationals can put together. Maybe we could get some volunteers to help out with our Website. Just a little thought.

The Lambda Chi Alpha official website has a picture of the UTEP chapter house that was on Mesa St. in El Paso...
... it was demolished in 1992.

As explained to me by Bro Lifesaver, there is a new system that is installed to keep more data for Zetas.
We must remember that two different companys left us high and dry over a short period of time.
But Jason Pearce and Josh Bennet are resposible for it now.
But, with all of the new technology there is still little showing for enhancement that I can see.
The basic format is being used, but trying to find ones way through is mind boggling.
Basically, it is a tool that should and can be used for two major purposes.
1. Keeping Members updated.
2. Selling LXA to prospective members.
Being a computor dunce, I can speak of some of the things I have seen Josh Bennet do and they are outstanding. BN won outstanding Site 2 years ago and that is Josh's work.
Maybe I am just a frustrated Brother, but We need something to get done and show able and finding what we are looking for.
Imagine someone who wants to check out LXA and going I cant find anything.

...and I've heard that Scott Pio, also from Beta-Nu, is interning at IHQ this summer too. My understanding is that they're working on a completely new website altogether, and that's why the present one is only minimally updated. I am not sure when the new one will go on line.

HQ Web Site
Brethren
The General Fraternity (had to change this for John, who spent too many winters in Grand Forks ND!) web site is getting a complete overhaul, and when it is done, it will be a ton more user friendly than it is today.
I think it's a long-overdue upgrade
