Unhappy Kidnapped Penguin

Has anyone else been following this story? It makes me sad. If someone kidnapped it just to pull a prank, I think it is so cruel. If someone kidnapped it to keep it as a pet, that's so selfish. How can they keep it when the zoo officials keep saying the penguin will die if not returned?

If I had to choose b/w keeping my dog or turning her over to the vet where her chances of living were better, I would release her to the vet in a heartbeat.

Poor penguin.

I saw the story on I think it was the Today show this morning.

I would guess that the thief more likely did it as an animal rights kind of thing... You know, free the poor captive animals back into the wild. Possibly not realizing, or not caring, that this animal has never been in the wild, and has no way of taking care of itself.

...... Or I could be way off. Who knows. It is still very sad though. They said the penguin's parents won't eat now.

I hope that they find that poor penguin.

I watched March of the Penguins the other night. It made me want to have one as a pet, but this is crazy.

My whole life, I've always wanted to box a kangaroo, wrestle an alligator, ride in an ostrich race, and command an army of penguins to attack Canada.

Angry

I heard about this. This is terrible . Why would anyone want to do that to an innocent baby animal?

It's the Bush adminsitration's fault. I'm sure the penguin was eaten by starving children left behind by vile Republican policies.

Really? Now the so-called "vile Republican policies" are stretching all the way over the ocean to affect England???

Oh my god you guys are tremendous pansy asses . . . stealing a penguin would be probably the funniest thing in history. Can you imagine getting up in the middle of the night to let Chilly Willy out to pee? Playing with your pet penguin in the park? Making it wear ridiculous clothing like a suburban shih tzu?

I'm going to heist some penguins, I kind of want one right now.

Something tells me taking care of a peguin is not exactly like taking care of a dog. What would you even feed the thing?

Yeah, it would be hilarious.... If not for the fact that the animal will probably only live for another day or so without the kind of care it was getting at the zoo.
