I feel we need to build up the trivia section, so i'll kick in an additonal one for 9/15/01
Many people know of Reagan, of Elvis, of Sam Walgreens as famous alumni, but my favorite famous alum is Dr. Irving P. Krick.
Frater Krick was head of the US Metereological Institute during World War II. It was on his reccomendation that the Normandy invasion was scheduled on its specific day. He wasn't an entertainer, or politician, but a scientist; and his actions touches just as many lives as Reagan's or Elvis's.

Daily Fact for 9/17/01
According to the best available data, 196 Tekes gave their lives in service to their country in World War II, and 30 received decorations exceeding that of the Bronze Star.
The National Listerv is already reporting several Tekes who have died in last week's tragedy, hopefully we won't see any more fraters on that list.
