Question about volunteering

Hey guys,

It's been forever since I've posted but have a question. I sent in a volunteer interest form on the national website almost 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Does anyone know if this is common or if there is someone else to contact for volunteering in the Southeast region.

Hey Sarah,

I know that FHQ is working their tushes off trying to get caught up with new reporting, and new member/initiation reports, etc etc. It's a busy time of year up there.

Do you have a particular area or skill you would like to volunteer in? I'm looking for Financial Advisors for our chapters that dont have one....so if you're interested in the finance world, let me know - I'll put ya to work! If not in finance, I'll see if i can put you in touch with some of the right people.

I am a psychiatry resident physician so academics, risk management, chapter life. My husband is a CPA but I'm not that good at finances.

FHQ is revamping volunteer positions, etc. Don't have my email in front of me right now about the specifics, but you may just need to sit tight and wait until spring. I've been volunteering for 2 years now and I think my 'position' goes away and falls into something else in the future so I will also have to 'reapply' for volunteering.

Thanks everyone for the help. I am now going to be working with the ETSU chapter. Thanks Amanda for the help with who to get in contact with, they couldn't find my interest form.
