just have to brag
Haven't posted lately cause I've been swamped with marching band and classes starting.
But I wanted to take a minute to brag on how many Greeks hold leadership positions in the ASU Marching Indians!!!
Drum Major: Phi Mu Alpha
Field Commanders (assistant drum majors): SAI and TBS
Head Majorette: Alpha Gam
Saxophone---Section Leader: SAI (me), Assistants: Tau Beta Sigma and Alpha Phi Alpha
Flute---Section leader: DZ, Assistants: TBS and SAI
Clarinet---Section Leader: SAI, Assistant: Alpha Gam
Trombone--Section Leader: Phi Mu Alpha
French Horn---Assistants: DZ and SAI
Tuba---Phi Mu Alpha
I want to add, this is about 80% of the leadership that is Greek, and our marching band is regarded very highly on campus, throughout the state, and throughout the south. So this is definately something to brag about!

OH GIRL........ do you know how happy your thread made me? Congrats to all of them!
UK's Marching Band is led by - Drum Major - one beautiful Alpha Gam, and 2 Phi Mu Alpha's
The rest is full of TBS and SAI girls working hard to help promote the music world.

Congrats.
I was one of maybe 2-3 GLO members when I was in the Central Oklahoma orchestra. Recruiting there was a tough sale.
As I recall, in our marching band, there were quite a few PKA's and TKE's.

When I was in school, the KDs made up about half of our band. Now, there were only about 20 in the band, but we had a good time. I have many fond memories of sitting in the trumpet section (I played piccolo) with my sister Kathy and telling people that our house picked the school colors (the school is also green and white)! Also, the rest of the house was usually at the games in full KD regalia. Those were some good times!
