LMAO! Dude, I read his post while I was on a conference call, but then when I saw your post, I hollered LOL!
I took a pregnancy test one night because I couldn't sleep, got a positive, and woke my husband up to tell him. He hugged me then went back to sleep. Panic didn't set in until he realized it wasn't a dream.

😂 Yeah man, but that’s predictable. That’s why I laughed. Men who are locked into society’s standards will always assume a man who loves his wife as Ephesians 5:25 commands him to is henpecked. A husband who loves his wife selflessly, fully, and with real dedication is not the same as being henpecked. But that just shows how far society has strayed from biblical truth.

She’s got a dude who caters to her every want, but that’s devotion, not henpecked? Alright, break that down for me then. I’m curious to what y’all are going to say because any dude who spends 5 minutes with that woman has gotta be henpecked.

LOL! Dude, CG gonna come in here and light you up like she did in the NFL thread. I see a henpecked dude as a weak, “yes dear” dude. I think what PB was talking about is apples and oranges in comparison. One represents weak, while the other represents strength. I could be wrong but that’s how I’m reading it.

The key difference is that a godly husband leads with love and integrity, while a henpecked man is led by fear and compliance. One fosters mutual respect and a strong marriage while the other breeds imbalance and resentment.

Exactly, Phroze. A henpecked man is one who surrenders his position and sense of self in response to his wife’s demands, often to avoid conflict. His decisions are generally going to be driven by fear of displeasing her rather than by wisdom, love, or moral conviction. He also lacks spiritual leadership and allows his wife to dominate the relationship, often at the expense of his own dignity and responsibilities.

In contrast to that, a man who treats his wife as God ordained follows the biblical model of servant-leadership (Ephesians 5:25). Like I said before, he loves his wife sacrificially, as Christ loves the Church, but he does not abdicate his role as the spiritual and moral leader of the household and marriage. Like you said, his leadership is marked by strength, wisdom, and humility, and he listens to his wife, values her input, and makes decisions in the best interest of the family, but he does so with conviction and purpose, not out of fear or passivity. That’s not henpecked.
