P.S. Ideal08, I love "I'm Not the Enemy" from Lina...I put that on a CD and people who heard it asked about that song before anything else (it was a sorta neo-soul compilation).
I read it, too, that's also where I read about Tweet's skills with writing and playing instruments. We some Replay addicts, LOL!! I renewed my membership for two years, and am GEEKED (yall remember that word, lol??) about my 25,000 bonus points!

But I digress... about Lina... I love that song! It's so.... I guess understanding and compassionate. At least to me it is. But I think my favorite song is It Ain't Me.

Ok, N'Dambi and Res... do they have CD's for sell in stores or what? Am I gon' hafta search for their stuff? What's the name of their CD's?

I can't wait to get Tweet's CD!!! Yall know I'm a Missy-Tim-beat lover! LOL!

Okay, I didn't read ALL nine pages of this thread, but I've purchased some GREAT cds lately.

1. JOE--it's SOOOOO off the chain. I think he's back to reclaim his territory. I love that man.

2. Glen Lewis' album isn't out yet but I love his voice. He's a great live performer. Question: what does "Don't You Forget It" mean??? I've seen this video, heard the words, but don't get the true meaning of the song. Don't think I'm dumb, but I'm still a little perplexed.

3. Hidden Beach Recordings--is a great cd. A great way to relax from a hard day's work.

4. I've heard a great deal about Jaguar, but I will not buy it UNTIL somebody PM me or reply to this and tell me that I will not regreat purchasing it.

5. Tweet--I'm loving the new single. I heard that song for the first time and absolutely fell in love. The beat is OFF THA HOOK! I can definitely see myself dancing hard on that song at a party.

6. Brandy--I can't wait til her album comes out. A lot of people don't like my girl, but her beats are always the bomb to me. I think Darkchild does a great job with her music.

---------

Gospel:

1. Kirk Franklin--the new album is GREAT! You'll be very impressed.

2. Doc McKenzie & the Hi-Lites--this is quartet, but it's good quartet. I'm the kind of girl who appreciates all genres of music (gospel being my favorite genre). Most people don't like quartet music but trust me, this will keep your heads nodding.

Thanks for the time!

Res and N'Dambi both have CD's out. Res' is called "How I Do" and N'Dambi's is called "Little Lost Girl Blues".

Glenn Lewis's song is talking about a young woman who needs direction in her life. It is about the growing older, both physically and emotionally. The girl has had her heart broken before, but he is saying to look to the future and not the past. It is a very well-written song. Whoever said his live performances are good is on point. His album is awesome and I recommend it to everyone.

I am also digging Ashanti (even though her current single has some lazy production, straight jacking that beat). Her CD drops on 4/2 and it should be pretty good. I also like another song she made called "When a Man Does Wrong" I think it was on the Fast and the Furious soundtrack. There are gonna be 2 somewhat big release days coming up...

3/19 - Cherokee and Glenn Lewis
4/2 - Ashanti and Tweet

Ideal08 and everyone have y'all heard Musiq's new song yet? It is called "HalfCrazy". I like this song a LOT because I just got out of the situation he is describing.

P.S. My guilty pleasure of the moment is Shakira! I LOVE her CD! The lyrics are really weird because she doesn't know English well ("Lucky that my breasts are small and humble/ so you don't confuse them with mountains"), but I am so feeling "The One". I don't know y'all, but this CD is fun to me.

Haven't heard Musiq's new one, I bet it's the bomb. Gotta listen out for that. Librasoul, hook me up with his release date again. I have to be on point for Kelis on 3/12 (did the Neptunes do her production again?), Glenn Lewis, Amel Larrieux (is it still coming out like it said in the Red Star CD?), and Cherokee. Didn't listen to her first CD's, but I like the song she has out now, though I've only heard it once.

CT4, did you listen to Lina yet? What'd you think?

HAD to come back and edit to add this!!!! Have yall heard that spoof on Feelin' on Your Booty called Feelin' on Your Juvie??? HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! PURE COMEDY!!! They played that mess on the radio yesterday morning, and I was ROTFLMAO!!! Talked about him playing 4square and tetherball, it was funny! LOL

*Respond in the new Tunes thread, I'ma close this one...*
