D! That's my guess...Phi Gamma! But in most recent years I've noticed a TON of girls from the Kappa Chapter outta University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Actually - side note -

Liz Connor, she was a NC from TCU, is now an advisor for my old chapter. As is Stacey (from Kappa). We're so LUCKY to have some great NC alum helping us out! They really know their stuff!

OK, not a true questions, more of a "help me remember"...

I thought I remember reading that when the founders were deciding on a name, they did so by cutting out all the greek letters and seeing which looked good together. I always thought that was a fun fact. Does anyone else remember hearing/seeing this?

Yes, xo_kathy, that is what it says in the new member manual! I am the assistant pledge trainer and that is the section the new girls learned last meeting! They thought it was funny that they did that but then agreed that the Chi and the Omega just look good together!

In the year 2000, a $1 million dollar gift was made to the Chi Omega Foundation -- the largest single contribution ever received by the Foundation to date. Name the generous alumna who made the donation:

a.) Roselyn Threadgill Dabbs, Tau Chapter, former National President and President of the Chi Omega Foundation at that time.

b.) Nancy Walton Laurie, Psi Chapter, member of the Walton family of Wal-mart fame and owner of the St. Louis Blues hockey team.

c.) Christine Jack Toretti, Lambda Gamma, CEO of S.W. Jack Drilling and head of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania.

d.) Sela Ward, Nu Beta, Emmy Award winning actress and honorary chairman of Chi Omega's 1895 Society.

You know what, I'm gonna go for D; Sela Ward. Only because of her recent involvement in the Foundation and how she's been a visual image in our Eleusis for it!
