HC the idiot contractor called me to take a look at something knowing good and well what the answer was?

HC the idiot city building agency is beating around the bush prior to giving me to the foundation permit so we start this daggone buidling?????

HC white people think its ok, a compliment even, to tell black people they "speak so well?"

HC it's NOT ok to call them on it?

story: my friend (blk female) is going on med school interviews, and the most recent one she came from, the interviewer (white male) said to her, "you're a great applicant, and i'm amazed at how well you talk."
she doesn't respond, and changes the subject, and the interviewer says "do you realize that i just complimented you?"
she says: "what, that i can speak well? i would hope so, english is my first language..."
he says: "well, it makes you better than the rest of them."
she says: "the rest of who?"

the interviewer brushes it off, and quickly ends the interview. she hasn't heard from that school since, and regrets even arguing about it, saying that defending herself in the scenario was important because she has heard that comment one too many times.

so why is it rude to comment back on an issue that is rude to begin with?

HC Sounds like she doesn't need to go there if that is how the staff acts

HC I used to work at our med school admissions and that was NEVER a topic of discussion on interview day

HC your friend wasn't meant to go that school and something will come along way better for her

Hc.... For the past couple of months I have been able to access GC w/ no problem at work
Hc....It is not a hinderance to my job or preformance.
Hc I'm the only greek at my job (there was 2 of us...but my Soror left for something much better)
Hc ....the twerps in tech support have sniffed me out and blocked GC!!!

Hc I have been H.O.T ever since.
Hc .... time for a new JOB....
