My favorite is definitely the samoas. No matter what anyone says, caramel delites aren't the same!

P.S. Alum-congrats to your daughter! As a 15+ year Girl Scout (I'm now a GS trainer) the Gold Award is an amazing accomplishment!
We are very proud! She is going to try to find a troop to help with next year near to whatever school she attends.

I can't believe I will have to buy cookies from somebody else next year.

Actually jitterbug, Andy must've been kidding because the two bakeries are Little Brownie (located in KY) and ABC.

Alum-PM me if your daughter is looking for information on Campus Girl Scouts.

that makes sense. i have gotten GS cookies (trefoils) from 3 different troops in 3 different locations and there's something different everytime.

my favorite GS cookies are: trefoils/(shortbread) and tag-a-longs (shortbread and chocolate)

It's that time AGAIN!

I purchased one box (sugar free brownies) for my mother from a colleague this morning.

If soror colleague brings her order form, I'll purchase a couple of boxes. If not, that's .

My daughter got her form yesterday. (Dunno why so late? ) But PM me if you want to order Samoas, Trefoils, Thin Mints, DoSiDos, AllAbouts, the coffee crunch (I think) and the low fat brownie things. We can ship.

Why not ask the troop leader or contact the council? How about the cookie company?

Fmr. Brownie, Junior, Cadette checking in

When I was in GS one year I had 12 cases at my house (mom was troop leader) and we couldn't store them where we had our meetings. Yes Cases ladies and my dad decided it was a free for all on cookies ($2.00 then). He was a p'oed when I served him a bill of $30 for all the cookies he nibbled on!

My fave is Thin Mints and Do-si-Do's

Old faves (no longer make)
The Oreo versions (chocolate sandwich and vanilla sandwich)
The Lemon sandwich cookie (I LOVED THAT COOKIE) we only had it for 2 years.

Least favorite: Samoas ( i hate coconut w/ a passion).

All this is from the 80's....

I took pre-orders in HS and the day that we could officially start selling I was delivering cookies when most were just getting their orders. My locker in school stayed full of cookies (had to share a locker with a friend for my books).

The only thing i hated was the profit scale for the actual troop. We got peanuts compared to how much we sold (had at least 3 folks that sold 250+ boxes still have my badge). and the prizes we got. I still have a bear that fits in the palm of my hand he was so small!

I LOVE THIN MINTS!!!

As of 2004, the best selling Girl Scout cookies are:

Thin Mints (25% of total sales)*
Samoas/Caramel DeLites (19%)*
Tagalongs/ Peanut Butter Patties (13%)*
Do-si-dos/ Peanut Butter Sandwiches (11%)*
Trefoils/ Shortbread (9%)*

In 2007, the Girl Scouts of the USA launched a website, http://www.GirlScoutCookies.org, that offers consumers point-of-sale information to make finding Girl Scout cookies fast and interactive. At http://www.GirlScoutCookies.org

1. Thin Mints
2. Do-si-dos or Peanut Butter Sandwiches. Do-si-dos used to be called Gauchos. These cookies come in an orange box. Little Brownie Bakers calls them Do-si-dos. ABC Bakers calls them Peanut Butter Sandwiches.
3. Trefoils or Shortbread : Scot Teas were a similar, lighter sugar cookie made by the now defunct Burry. These cookies come in a blue box. Little Brownie Bakers calls them Trefoils; ABC Bakers call them Shortbread.
4. Tagalongs or Peanut Butter Patties: These cookies come in a red box. Little Brownie Bakers calls them Tagalongs; ABC Bakers call them Peanut Butter Patties.
5. Samoas or Caramel deLites : These cookies come in a purple box. This is one of the few cookies that are made differently depending on the bakery, hence the two different names. Samoas are made by Little Brownie Bakers. The ABC version of this cookie is called Caramel deLites.
6. All Abouts: These cookies come in a pink box. All Abouts are made by Little Brownie Bakers.
7. Thanks-A-Lot: A shortbread cookie with a layer of fudge on the bottom and the words "thank you" in English, French, Chinese, Swahili, or Spanish embossed on the top. Thanks-A-Lots have been made by ABC since 2006 and were preceded by a similar cookie called the Animal Treasure.
8. Café Cookies: These cookies come in a light brown box. Café Cookies are made by Little Brownie Bakers.
9. Little Brownies: Introduced in 2006, these sugar-free cookies are made by Little Brownie Bakers.
10. Cartwheels: A tasty cinnamon and oatmeal round that's rich in calcium and loaded with important vitamins like thiamin, niacin, and riboflavin. These reduced fat cookies were new in 2006, they are made by ABC Bakers.
11. Lemonades: New in 2007, these shortbread cookies are stamped in the shape of a sliced lemon with a tangy lemon icing. They are made by ABC Bakers and replaced the Lemon Pastry Creme.
