Does anyone have any idea how the banners could be posted to a webpage? Thanks!

you would have to have some html host, like a Photo album or something online. Then you copy the html of the image from the online album and past it on here

I've had good luck with www.photobucket.com for hotlinking images to boards and the like. It even has cut-and-paste links to post in HTML and BBcode. Copy that link and stick it in when you're typing a post.

It is, but the motto I requested tends to get used more often now. I guess you could say it's more of a slogan really.
OK, this is terrible of me, but when I was scanning through the first page of this thread at the original banners, I kind of misread one - it was the Alpha Xi Delta one. It is a beautiful banner, don't get me wrong, but as I was quickly scanning my eye saw the words and I thought, "what kind of motto is about a penis?" Then I saw it is "the pen is mightier than the sword." I thought it was ironic that Alpha Xi's requested a different slogan be used. Maybe they misread it too!

I saw this thread waaaaay back when I first started posting here on GC, and I told myself when I got Photoshop that I would try these....so I've gotten Photoshop, and I've made a couple.

Mine are a lot different than WhiteDaisy's (and I think hers are a lot better, but this is my first try at this). I've modeled these after the "blends" i've done of celebrities.

At the moment i've only done 2....but more are to come---if you all like em.

^I actually made that one for NinjaPoodle (but her's is a little different)

I'll start to do the ones for the rest of the NPC, and if anyone would like any of these "blends" let me know

Is there another way to make banners aside from using Photoshop? I'm a big ol' loser who doesnt have Photoshop and can't really afford to go out and buy it :-( lol

You can get a 30 day free trial of Adobe Photoshop CS2 or Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 on their website. Adobe's website

Also, you could use Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP), Ulead Photo Impact (PI), Corel Draw or any kind of program that supports .png files & layers.

Just poke around on your computer and see what kind of photo editing software you might have.

But if you decide to buy- Photoshop Elements is awesome, has the capabilities of most things you would need to create banners, and is much less expensive than Photoshop CS2.
