I listened to the DC I bought my niece for Christmas. IMO, that is some SHYT right there! WHY do they have to list on the lyric sheet who sings what? Umm, Michelle is still getting the bum deal.

She also got the new Ashanti. It is so-so. I think the hottest joint is the first release... and it's not ALL THAT!

I never heard of John Legend until reading posts in here..then I started to hear "Ordinary People" & was waiting for the cd to come out. Well I picked up the cd today and realized I did know a couple of songs - this cd gets 4 stars from me - just pop it in and let it play (or keep hitting rewind on a song until you HAVE to move away and let it play on)....this will be in heavy rotation for a while.

I did notice on the teeny sign in the store that the $7.99 price was only good through 1/1/05 so get to Circuit City tomorrow or order on line.

I got the CD a few days ago. I'm lovin' it so far. I like artists who use/play real instruments compared to other R&B/neo-soul acts. It will be added to my rotation.

Being the artist that I am... I also like to CD cover design. Black & white/sepia looks nice if it's done correctly. Peep the photo of John as a child singing his heart out.

That is all.
So I got it a few days ago. Overall I like it. I'm sure it will be warped soon because numbers 1, 2 & 3 are my joints and I keep replaying those.

I have yet to listen to my Fantasia CD, even though I bought it the day it was released. Go figure.... I am like that. Sometimes it takes weeks and months to listen to new music. Once I get addicted to something, it's hard to remove stuff from my CD player.

Anyway, though she burned a few bridges with the marriage fiasco, Brandy's Afrodisiac is my new favorite CD!! I never really listened to it until this weekend and I LIKE IT!! Brandy did her thing with that one.

I haven't listened to my Fantasia CD either.

John Legend...okay. I may be in the minority with this one. His CD isn't ALL THAT. (Don't shoot) I think I'm turned off by some of the lyrics. Yes, he is a musician, which is good, but I cannot believe (from the lyrics) he was a choir director. But, I guess I can. LOL I'll try to give it another try.

RD, I culda given you my Brandy CD. That mess right there is some mess, IMO. The only song I like is the first single.

I need a LONG road trip so I can REALLY listen to these CDs.

Now Destiny Child needs to be slapped big time for writing, recording, and releasing videos and that CD...I HATE IT.

If you are referring to songs #5 & 7 then I can see your point...however the rest of the cd more than balances out those two songs. And IMO - just because he was the choir director doesn't mean he didn't have some dirt in his life to use as reference for the songs material...I mean even rra kelly had a gospel singer/born again virgin in one of his personal videos .

Pop it in your computer while you are at work...its been on nonstop rotation for the last week.

LMAO. I'll give it another try. I skimmed it while on my lunch break.

That's why I say I need a road trip, so I can LISTEN to it. LOL

Naw, I'm feeling track #5 too.

It's the music that's so catchy.
