I'm late posting to this thread...

I grew in Lansing, MI, and I had a full scholarship to Michigan State, so my parents wanted me to go there.

Luckily I got into my first choice, Univ. of Minnesota, and had a great college experience.

I went to union University before transferring to MTSU. I didn't even apply at MTSU when I graduated - I applied at Austin Peay, Carson Newman and Union.

I had an opportunity to go to any public school in Florida because I had been awarded a "scholarship loan" for teachers. Mom wanted me at UWF, but I was like, Ummm...NO! I strongly considered U of FL, but didn't know for sure. Two days before my birthday got a nice letter from Troy saying I had full tuition scholarship...

I accepted the scholarship there, without ever seeing the campus. Never regretted it, either!

I was thisclose to going to Tech. I was accepted there and to a couple of other schools in Texas. I decided not to go to Tech and haven't regretted my decision

I almost went to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA.........

almost went to usc (southern cal, not south carolina) but it was a little bit TOO expensive. Still wish I would have sucked it up and got all kinds of loans though. Always have the what if in your mind you know?
